Final update on Gypsy Caravan (for now)

Here are a couple of photos with a vintage crocheted bedspread on the bed. My mother gave it to me.

And here's the inside of one of the kitchen cabinets.

Latest update on Gypsy Caravan

Not sure if I'm going to leave the new bedspread on the bed because it might be just a bit to feminine for my sweetheart, but I can also use it as a blanket to keep me warm when we will be sitting outside on a chilly evening. BTW in real it somehow looks better.

I also bought some fake flowers for our Gypsy Caravan, a couple of plastic glasses and some new table-mats.

I still have to buy us some new plates and bowls and maybe even some new utensils.

Or used as a daybed.

Update on Gypsy Caravan 3

I have been painting, cleaning and decorating the Gypsy Caravan for the last couple of days. There are still some improvements to be made when we return from our little vacation, but for now I'm done! I also need time to assemble all the camping gear we need to bring with us.

Do you remember how the caravan looked like when we first bought it?

The sleeping area.

The dining area.

Before we started to paint: sleeping area

and dining area.

And this is how it looks today!

The door completely finished.

The dining area. I love that new floor!

We will be using the big heart next to the door to stick on brochures with events in the region we'll be visiting.

I also decorated the mirror!

We could hang this lamp over here or ...

... this cute hanger with elephants!

We could also put the lamp on the table or ...

... we could put some old bowls on it.

I loved transforming this old and very dated caravan into this new colorful Gypsy Caravan!

Update on Gypsy Caravan 2

Here are the latest photos of the Gypsy Caravan I took this afternoon. My sweetheart and I were still working on putting in the new floor but I just had to take some photos before it got too dark.
The caravan is now standing - with permission - on the driveway of my neighbors across the street. It's easier for me to make the finishing touches having the caravan nearby.

Here you can see a small piece of the new floor. It looks really cool IRL! The knobs on the kitchen cabinet are made of porcelain and I bought them in Sweden at Indiska

I bought the orange lamp with embroidery and beads on a huge flea market a while ago for 1 Euro. I think I'm going to hang it above the table in the dining area.

Update on Gypsy Caravan

My sweetheart and I have been working very hard this weekend on the Gypsy Caravan. I wallpapered the upper part of the door and I have also been painting a lot. I couldn't finish all the painting but it's almost done! My sweetheart has been busy making a new lower part of the door because the inside of the old one was ruined by mold and he also put a tow bar under my car, since we're going to use my car for our little trip to France in September.
Here are some new photos of the inside of the Gypsy Caravan with the new cushions I made of denim.

This is the door and the dining area seat with new cushions.

These are the new cushions for our bed. The plan is to leave the bed down all the time and not use this space as a sitting area. We can sit in our dining area and use the bed as a daybed. We will be taking a lot of small cushions with us.

And this is the kitchen and the other dining area seat with the new cushions.
The inside of the kitchen cabinets still has to be painted, but I think I will be doing that when we get home from our trip or even next year.

Wallpaper love in the Gypsy Caravan!

Yesterday, I finally wallpapered the Gypsy Caravan. It took me a big part of the afternoon and a part of the evening! But it looks great (at least we think it looks great)!

These are photos taken after I had finished wallpapering the upper part of the wall.

And these are photos taken after I had finished wallpapering the whole wall in the evening.

Now we only have to wallpaper the door in the caravan and finish painting the cabinets that are in my sweethearts house. They say it's going to be a very warm day tomorrow, so I will start the day with wallpapering the door in the caravan and then move into the house where it's cool and more comfortable to work. I think we will need 3 more days of painting and another day for gluing in the new floor.
